Step into Spring | Top 5 Spring Nail Polishes

Spring is here! I seriously can't believe the warmer months are nearly upon us, it feels like only yesterday I put up my Christmas tree. I am loving the Spring/Summer season trends for this year. Pretty pastels and muted nudes are all dominating the catwalk this Spring. I thought I would put together some of my current favourite nail shades in today's post to give you an idea of what looks hot right now on your nails.

Introducing the polishes from left to right (as pictured below), first up is Rose Hip by Barry M. This is one of their latest additions to the Gelly range in nail paints for S/S14. Probably my favourite colour to wear at the moment, this is a gorgeous pastel pink. Completely opaque in just 3 coats, this shade is bang on trend for Spring. You will get a good 2-3 day wear on this nail polish without any chips.

Next in my top 5 is Minted by Revlon. I believe this particular shade was released by Revlon two Spring/Summer seasons ago, but none the less still very on trend for this year. A very flattering shade for all skintones, this vibrant mint green looks beautiful on the nails at this time of year.

Essie is my next nail polish pick and this particular shade is called Bikini So Teeny. It too, has also been on the market for a while but still very much one of my favourite nail polishes of all time. A pretty feminine powder blue is how I would describe this colour and much like Minted, a very flattering shade for any skintone.

Barry M also recently brought out the 'Silk' collection as part of their S/S14 campaign. These are gorgeous nail polishes with a semi-matte finish containing some subtle shimmer. Pearl is the shade I have added to my favourites, as it's a gorgeous off-white colour. With white nails of course also being a key statement trend this Spring.

Last but certainly not least, I have included yet another Essie nail polish to my top 5 Spring nail polish picks. Go Ginza is the perfect pinky lilac shade for the Spring/Summer season. I believe this came out sometime last year and since then, I have not been able to stop wearing it. Looking a lot similar to Rose Hip in the pictures, it is much more of a pale lilac rather than a pink in real life.

So there you have it, my Top 5 nail polish picks for Spring. There are so many new shades being released this season, so it's not surprising that I may have a few more to add to this list quite soon!

What are your favourite nail polishes for the Spring/Summer 2014 season?
